UniCloud is an end-to-end, scalable, and secure web platform that enables you to easily build customized Dashboards for Unitronics controllers—no Cloud expertise needed. You can use Dashboards to manage your machines and to view data using graphs, tables, and maps. You can harvest, analyze, and leverage PLC application data to boost efficiency, trouble-shoot problems, and implement preventative maintenance.
To use UniCloud with UniStream, you need UniLogic, UniApps access, and a UniCloud web account. All UniStream controllers support UniCloud; UniStream Cloud series controllers come supplied with a Start-up 5-year UniCloud subscription.
Note that in UniCloud Machines are called Assets. An Asset Type is a machine type - machines that all run the same project.
The UniLogic Project
In your UniLogic project, you:
Activate UniCloud.
Create an Asset Type; you can define only a single Asset Type per project.
When you create an Asset Type, you link it to an Organization along with email address of the Organization's Main Contact.
Define the Tags for the Asset Type, and set their UniCloud accessibility: whether they are read-only, or read-write by UniCloud.
When you build your Dashboards in UniCloud, you can choose to access these tags, and can choose from the accessibility set in UniLogic.
Select Alarms that will be accessible to UniCloud (if the project contains Alarms)
Set whether the Asset type will be accessible via Remote Access directly from UniCloud.
All of the above are part of your UniLogic Project, which you can download to multiple PLCs. When you create Dashboards in the UniCloud web interface, you can access any PLC containing the project.
UniApps
After you have downloaded the project to a PLC, and synced the Asset Types, you access the PLC and enter UniApps, either via VNC or the HMI touchpanel.
In UniApps, you:
Activate UniCloud.
Create an Asset: you log into UniCloud using the email address of the Organization's Main Contact, the one you provided in UniLogic.
The PLC has had its Asset Type set when you downloaded the project/synced the Asset Type. You now assign an Asset name.
Load a PLC security certificate. (note that you can also load a certificate via USB stick).
You can now include this PLC in a UniCloud Dashboard.
UniCloud
UniCloud is where you build your Dashboards. Dashboards enable you to view data using easily configured drag & drop widgets graphs, tables, maps, and more.
